No it doesn't, but since you can't except robots progressing this far you deny it, these robots are real and have been coded to dance, geez, you sound like people who thought that digital media was impossible because it didn't exist when they were a child.
It's all fun and games untill it has hk 416s for hands and back up swords that pop out literally on a future battle feild playing this dancing wiping out whoever cant afford them
These delightful creatures were NOT developed to better humanity. These are going to be used as soldiers and policeman against us. I promise you that these are not for entertainment. People, be scared when these are patrolling your streets at night armed with guns, infrared vision and tazers if you break the curfews coming.
Um, no, the dog robot is available for purchase and these robots are designed to help in the military BATTLES, and have to be coded to do things, that and if the government tarted enforcing a curfew, many places would go out of business causing the economy to crash, which could create another great depression. Which would be stupid of the government
They will not even reach the evilness of humans. Remember, humans commit war crimes, kill innocent children, torture innocent people, shame innocent people. Robots will not even get close to them.
As impressive as this video is, that kind of technology is probably many decades away. Not to mention that I don't think any ethics board in North America would allow AI controlled robots to carry firearms or even tasers.
I don't doubt the Robots are capable of doing these things individually, but it just looks like mediocre CG. The rendering just doesn't look right. You put the video side by side to another video with Spot or Atlas and it looks totally different. The light refects differently and the motion is just not right. I can't articulate exactly what wrong with it but it just doesn't look right. This is the only Boston Dynamics video ever that I've raised eyebrows at and questioned its autheticity.
@justandy333 I was just about to write pretty much the same thing. In some scenes the robots look like they' re moving like on plasticine animation movies.I also don't doubt the robots capabilities, on the contrary i believe they are capable of every move in this video, but there must have been some pretty heavy editing in this film.Could it be frame drops...?
@I Just Ran Over A Bruh I'm not doubting the robots are capable. I said this initially. What I doubt is they are all choreographed doing all that together. It just looks like they've been filmed doing the actions separately and been superimposed over eachother in post. This process can make the lighting and shadows seem a little off. I don't proclaim to be an expert in CGI. More a keen enthusiast.
You say this as it you're some CGI expert, these robots have been in development for a long time, it just takes a lot of programming and mathematics to get them to do those sorts of moves.
@Abhishek Kumar Atlas has been doing this kind of robotic motion for years now. Pull up a different video of Atlas and compare. They are notably different.

This is the most subtle and covert "show of force" ever documented. I doubt if any other nations population wants a piece...really scary tech, add ai and watch for Christ to return to reap the earth etc and separate good from evil but not before the dark ones roll out RDIF chips with no resistance to these soon to be nuke powered bots.
come on guys, it’s not all the time but it’s just watching, there are marks. You don't even need slowmotion just to pay attention and a bigger screen than your cell phone ..... At 1:43 minutes it’s easier to see but to be more precise at 1:51 the left foot of the front robot makes a mark

From what I know about CGI, the easiest way of identifying a cgi animation is at the point of contacts, feet/ground in this case. And from what I see, it is either a really good CGI animation or this is totally real, either way, I'm impressed and mildly concerned LOL

@Matthew Parker I knew it wasn’t cgi. The comment before mine said “ nice cgi”. I was saying it wasn’t cgi. A robotics company using cgi to sell it’s products won’t last long.

Not really like that. Disney has many good human-like moving robot. Boston dynamics has many good dynamic ones. etc . I hope one day they can join together.
This shit is crazy scary. If we continue developing these type of technology it will fucking turn against us. The end of humanity is when the robots obtain consciousness. Shit will be like'' I ROBOT '' for real. And we might laugh now but we Will cry later for sure
